What is the definition of Vapor Pressure?
The vapor pressure of a liquid is the pressure formed in an evacuated chamber with liquid inside. The liquid will reach equilibrium as it evaporates and condenses, producing a saturated environment, and a vapor pressure inside the vessel. The vapor pressure is dependent on the temperature. It is typically 23 mbar for water at room temperature.
